Citroen’s C4 Cactus will receive a special edition in the United Kingdom, which will be available starting August 1, 2016.
The Citroen C4 Cactus range’s latest addition is called “W Special Edition,” and it has a unique color combination for its body. It is painted “Pearl White,” while its Airbumps are in a shade called “Dune.” The side mirrors are also white, and its 17-inch “Cross” alloy wheels are also painted white, and so are the roof bars.
With this particular color scheme, Citroen provides a stylish choice in the C4 Cactus range, but customers wanting something more eccentric should focus on a different color combo.
Citroen based the W Special Edition on the C4 Cactus’ top trim level, called Flair in the United Kingdom. Therefore, the car comes with dark tinted rear windows, a navigation system, a reverse camera, digitally controlled air conditioning system, and split-folding rear seats. The white alloy wheels are exclusive to this special edition, as is the new color scheme.
Even if the top trim level has been selected for the "W Special Edition," Citroen clients can still order optional extras. Among them, one can find an extra-large thermally protective panoramic sunroof, or a part-leather black upholstery.
Citroen only offers the W Special edition of the C4 Cactus with the most powerful engines in the range, meaning customers have to choose between an 110-HP gasoline unit, or a 100-HP diesel. Both engines come with manual gearboxes.
The 110 HP unit is a three-cylinder PureTech unit, with Start&Stop, and has won this year’s International Engine of the Year in its category. Meanwhile, the BlueHDi diesel has CO2 emissions of only 95 grams/kilometer.
Naturally, the gasoline turbocharged direct injection version of the C4 Cactus W Special Edition is more affordable than its diesel brother. The former starts at 18,890 pounds on the road, while the second has a list price of 19,620 GPB.
