Citroen C3 Picasso BlackCherry Special Edition Launched

The British division of Citroen announced today its C3 Picasso supermini MPV range has received a couple of new updates starting November 1st, while also introducing a special edition model on to the market. Dubbed BlackCherry, this special edition is available starting from GBP15,195 (USD24,200 or EUR17,500) on the road.

The new C3 Picasso BlackCherry edition is based on the VTR+ model and is powered by a 1.6-liter HDi 90hp engine.

With smart cherry red and glossy black exterior and interior detailing, the model also benefits from a premium black metallic body colour, roof bars and dynamic 17-inch cherry red diamond-tipped alloy wheels. A generous level of standard equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, Connecting Box (USB socket & Bluetooth system), electrically adjustable door mirrors and front electric windows.

As for the revisions brought to the C3 Picasso line-up, these include a new Euro 5 HDi 110 engine and 6-speed transmission, as well as the addition of a Connecting Box (USB and Bluetooth connectivity) as standard specification on VTR+ and Exclusive trim levels.

The new drivetrain delivers a fuel economy of 59 mpg (3.99 l/100km) on a combined cycle and 125 g/km of CO2 emissions. In addition to that, in order to reduce fuel consumption and maintain low CO2 emissions, all C3 Picasso models are now fitted withMichelin Energy Saver tires. These efficient tires mean specifying larger 17-inch optional alloy wheels on Exclusive models will no longer have an impact on CO2 output.

New infotainment features include Citroen’s Connecting Box fitted as standard from the VTR+ trim level. The smart system offers a USB socket for connecting MP3 players to the audio system and a Bluetooth connection. Pricing for the refreshed C3 Picasso range starts from GBP12,695 (USD20,300 or EUR14,600).
