Citroen C1 AirDream Style Revealed

French carmaker Citroen has just unveiled a new special edition C1 called AirDream Style that comes equipped with several exclusive features over the base model. The first things you'll notice when looking at the car are the new mirror housings painted in gray satin and the eye-catchy 14-inch alloy wheels.

As compared to the exterior, the interior brings many more upgrades, including satin inserts, an Alpine audio system with Bluetooth compatibility, CD/MP3 player with USB and AUX connectivity.

The special series AirDream Style is powered by Citroen's 1.0-liter gasoline engine that develops 68 horsepower and releases 106 grams of CO2 every kilometer. Pricing starts at 11,430 euros for the 3-door version and at 11,780 euros for the five-door configuration.

In standard form, Citroen's C1 range includes two engine options, the aforementioned 1.0-liter plus a 1.4-liter HDI. The latter develops a maximum power of 54 hp at 4,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm, while releasing 109 grams of CO2 per kilometer. In terms of performance, it pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 15.6 seconds and tops at 96 mph (154 km/h).

Fuel consumption is one of the main advantages of this model, as it records 44.4 mpg (5.3 L/100Km) city and 69.2 mpg (3.4 L/100Km) highway.

The facelifted C1 was officially released in 2009 and comprises only minor enhancements, such as a redesigned bumper and front grille plus restyled headlamps. The engine lineup remained the same as on the previous version of the car.
