A brand new Citroen model that created a lot of interest when it was shown last month in Frankfurt will now have its chance to impress the crowds across the channel, as the DS5 will make its official UK debut at the Top Gear Live this November, appearing at both the NEC Birmingham and ExCel London venues.
Right now, the DS5 is the biggest offering in Citroen’s DS range that started with the DS3. It takes the shape of a five-door hatch, with a coupe-like sloping roofline and raised driving position. What impresses us the most about this car is the attention to detail on the inside and the avant-guard design fo the front end.
The exterior of the DS5 borrows from the C-SportLounge concept, offering a sleek profile and muscular wheel arches give DS5 an “undoubted air of refined confidence.” At he front, there is a large air intake a large chrome-finished grille housing the chevrons and a new LED light signature. The DS5 comes with chrome-finished ‘sabre’ inserts stretching from the top of each headlamp to the windscreen.
