In the middle of the worst sales slowdown in recent years, Citroen has a little bit of good news for us. After two years since the DS3 was first launched, they have announced that combined sales of all their DS models have finally broken the 200,000 unit mark.
To celebrate, they drove across 10 major cities in the UK delivering Easter eggs to everybody. Last week, on 12 April, Citroen liveried a double decker bus with DS branding, which drove through central London escorted by a DS3, DS4 and DS5.
Besides the aforementioned three models, there will likely be a fourth model joining the DS lineup in the next couple of years, but only if the reaction to the new Numero 9 concept car is good enough as it makes its debut at the Beijing Auto Show.

“If there was one full-line carmaker that could be this audacious, it would be Citroen. Citroen is the only brand that could bring together a 2CV and a DS in its showrooms. The DS line challenge has proved an immense success, but Citroen does not intend to rest on its laurels, promising instead a surprise-filled future,” said Frederic Banzet, CEO of the Citroen brand.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
