Chrysler Sponsors 2011 MasterCard Hockey Cup

Two of the manliest brands in the US will be showcased starting May 19 and until May 29 during one of the manliest sporting events in Canada: the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup. Hockey fans that will attend the event will be treated by Chrysler, which has become the official automotive sponsor of the event, with two of its most important brands: Dodge and Ram.

Chrysler, a long-time fan of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), will take its involvement in one of the sport's most important moments seriously, announcing a series of side shows meant to increase the appeal of the cup.

12 Dodge and Ram vehicles (including Dodge Grand Caravan, Ram Truck, Dodge Journey, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger) will be on display for the dig boys coming to the games. For the little boys, kids, Chrysler has something up its sleeve as well.

During the intermissions of games 3, 4 and 6, the same ice on which the CHL teams have played will be the clashing scene for several minor hockey league teams, who will go head to head against one another in the hope of earning tickets to the CHL National Awards Ceremony, which takes place on May 28.

"We are proud of our involvement in minor hockey throughout Canada and of our partnership with the Canadian Hockey League,"
said Reid Bigland, president and CEO, Chrysler Canada. "We are also proud to be able to give some of our nine-year-old Dodge Caravan Kids the opportunity to experience the Memorial Cup like only a player can."
