Chrysler Releases Video of 300 on the Move

Chrysler will officially debut their new 300 model at this year’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), to be held in Detroit, Michigan. To make sure we don’t get bored waiting, the carmaker has released a 4 minute and 42 second video of their luxury sedan in action. The running footage of the 2011 car shows it cruising through the desert, on twisty mountain roads, through small towns and even tunnels. At the very end of the video we even catch a glimpse of the Audi-like LED running lights in action. The front of the vehicle looks toned down and understated. The car is expected to be one of the main attractions at the Detroit show for the American manufacturer. The model is tweaked in terms of aesthetics, performance and comfort. It is expected to be priced starting from $28,000 for the V6 engined version and from $38,000 for the V8 one. The new V6 Pentastar mill, fitted onto the Touring and Limited trim models, develops 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A bigger, more powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is also available and develops 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The car should be available with a choice between rear or all-wheel drive, the same as the Dodge Charger. The design of the car drops is menacing, gangster look in favor of a more upscale one, sporting softer lines and chrome trim around the side windows, on the door handles and wing mirrors. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 NAIAS, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
