This might sound strangem, but bear with us for a moment. There are manly cars out there, like the Mustang or a regular pickup truck, and there are really manly cars, the kind that Chuck Norris would drive and that come with a gun rack and have a figurative hairy chest.
Despite not having a gun rack or Chuck Norris as a driver, we think that the Mopar 2011 Dodge Charger we are showing you is a really manly car. All we can show you right now is the first sketch, with the rest of the details and photos expected to be released by the end of April.
“After the success of our Mopar ’10 Challenger, we moved on to the iconic Dodge Charger and added even more performance,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “As a new company, we will continue to leverage the heritage of the Mopar brand at every turn.”
With its large wheels and aggressive ‘face’, the regular Charger was already a handsome-looking brute of a car, but Mopar will give it a well tailored black suite with stripes and the automotive equivalent of discreet cufflinks. We are talking about a black paintjob with a big blue stripe stretching from one end to the other. The mods also include a front lip spoiler, new side sills and larger alloys that are also painted black.
If we had to bet our own money, we’d say that the interior will also get a thorough makeover, but we can’t tell you any details at the moment. Expect more photos and info by the end of the month.
