Already shown to dealers last October, Chrysler’s new 200 sedan is set to make its public debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. And while we still have to go through a six month wait before assessing the 200, a certain Chrysler dealer claims that the Pentastar company is off to a spectacular market comeback.
Speaking about the new sedan, Chrysler dealer David Kelleher told Automotive News that the new 200 is going to be a “different car” that could become competitive in the midsize segment, which is currently dominated by the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and the Honda Accord.

“The new 200 is going to be a different car. People will wake up and come to buy that car. The new 200 is a complete home run. It’s got that strength of a very, very expensive European sedan like a Mercedes, but it’s definitively American,” Kelleher said.

The 2015 Chrysler 200 will reportedly hit the market with the company’s new nine-speed automatic transmission, which is also available on the Jeep Cherokee, and an estimated fuel consumption of 38 mpg highway.
