Chrysler is offering a new special edition for the 200S and 300S, called Alloy Edition.
The new optional package has a suggested retail price of $995 for the Chrysler 200S and $495 for the 300S, and will be introduced at this year’s Chicago Auto Show. Interestingly, the special edition of the 200S comes promptly after the carmaker confirmed that the model would be discontinued within 18 months.
In a way, the Alloy Edition of the Chrysler 200S is a swan song for the midsize sedan from Chrysler, so if you are in the market for this model, you might as well pick one up in the special edition.
The Alloy Edition of the Chrysler 200S and 300S is based on a black version of the two models and brings a contrast with dark bronze and titanium finishes. The changes brought by this special edition are not restricted to design, as the cars also feature sport-tuned suspensions, all-wheel drive system with Sport mode, and distinctive trim for the interior.
Moreover, the interior of the vehicles is available only in dark ornaments, such as Gloss Black, Piano Black, and Charcoal Black, but can receive special trim finishes like Bright Chrome, Satin Chrome, Black Chrome, Liquid Chrome, Platinum Chrome, and Titanium Chrome. Customers can also order trim that mimics the look of Carbon Fiber. However, Chrysler is also offering shades like Hyper Black, Pewter Metallic, Diesel Gray, and Satin Titanium.
Concerning exterior design, the special edition is available in five body colors, each chosen to amplify the distinctive Dark Bronze, Titanium, and Black Gloss finishes. The color options are Gloss Black Clear Coat, Redline Tri-coat Pearl, Black Forest Green Pearl Coat, Metallic Clear Coat, Granite Crystal, and Bright White Clear Coat. Each Alloy Edition of the two Chrysler sedans features a unique 3D-effect grille with Dark Bronze paint. The 19-inch alloy wheels are finished in the same shade. Meanwhile, the wing badges and dual exhaust tips are finished with Titanium accents.
Arriving at Chrysler dealerships this spring, the 200S Alloy Edition starts at a US MSRP of $26,685, while the 300S Alloy Edition starts at $35,965, each excluding $995 destination fee.
