Chrysler Debuts Special Edition Grand Voyager

The British branch of Chrysler today announced a new special edition of the popular Grand Voyager which comes with numerous exterior and interior upgrades. The car was especially introduced to celebrate 25 years as the world's best selling MPV, as Chrysler said in a statement, with sales totaling 12 million vehicles worldwide.

“These new models will appeal to motorists wanting a vesatile seven-seat vehicle that comes with class-leading reputation that the Grand Voyager has built up since its arrival 25 years ago,"
Nigel Land, marketing director of Chrysler UK Ltd, said.

“It has an unrivalled blend of luxury, equipment, comfort, versatility, performance and load-carrying capacity at a very competitive price.”

The car incorporates a 2.8-liter diesel engine that helps the car jump from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.8 seconds and provides a maximum speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). This powerplant achieves an urban fuel consumption figure of 38.7 mpg (6 l/100km) and a combined rating of 30.4 mpg (7.7 l/100km), according to official data given by Chrysler.

The interior features include leather trimmed upholstery, dual screen rear DVD entertainment system and uconnect gps satellite navigation including uconnect phone with voice recognition. Exteriors have been customized with Xenon headlamps, chrome mesh grille, LED daytime running lights, revised lower front fascia, special paint and badging and an engraved commemorative keyring.

The car went on sale in the United Kingdom on May 1, with the whole range to include only 100 models, according to a statement by Chrysler. The 25th Anniversary Grand Voyager is priced at £32,600 on-the-road, the company added.
