Chrysler Debuts New Consumers Incentives

Although it is currently fighting for survival under Chapter 11 protection, Chrysler is still struggling to lure consumers into its dealerships and boost sales as much as possible. The latest attempt is a consumer incentives program which becomes effective this month and offers buyers several advantages when purchasing new Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep vehicles.

Buyers will benefit from zero percent financing for 60 months through GMAC Financial services on some of the 2009 models or up to $4,000 in cash for the same selected models. Additionally, consumers who already own a Chrysler vehicle are now eligible for $1000 Owner Loyalty cash on most 2008 and 2009 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. The program runs until July 1, 2009.

"Beginning this month we are pleased to offer special finance options to our customers through our new preferred lender, GMAC Financial Services," said Steven Landry, Executive Vice President North American Sales and Marketing, Service and Parts - Chrysler LLC. "Our dealers are now activated for retail business through GMAC Financial Services, which gives consumers more financing options as they look to purchase from our exciting line up of Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles."

Through this campaign, Chrysler wants to continue the sales increase trend it started in May, despite the bankruptcy state that was believed to discourage people from buying models sold by the American automaker.

“The uncertainty that has been surrounding Chrysler for the last few months is coming to an end, and a vibrant, new company is beginning to take shape,” Jim Press, Vice Chairman and President - Chrysler LLC, said. “One that will better serve our customers and dealers with a broader and more competitive lineup of environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient, high-quality vehicles.”
