Oh hod, what was Chrysler thinking when it made the Crossfire. It was built on an old Mercedes SLK platform, but somehow they took the simple German styling and made it really ugly. The back of the car was described by Jeremy Clarkson as looking like a dog’s back while taking a #2.
The Crossfire shares 80% of its components with the R170 generation SLK320. The base engine for the Crossfire is also a 3.2-liter V6 borrowed from the Germans and producing 215 hp, although they did also slap in the 330 hp AMG version of that motor.
So theoretically, this Crossfire does actually merit its AMG badge, but it’s one strange combination if you ask us. And because making his Chrysler and AMG wasn’t enough, this owner also had it wrapped in chameleon finish that has gold and green shades as well as blue in the sunlight.
