On the 6th of June, 1925, the Chrysler company was born. Walter Chrysler re-organized the Maxwell Motor Company into the Chrysler Corporation, and the rest is history. To celebrate this impressive milestone, Chrysler prepared some anniversary vehicles for the 2016 model year.
There are three models to choose from, and these are the 90th Anniversary Package 2016 Chrysler 200, 2016 Chrysler 300 and 2016 Chrysler Town & Country. We remind you that 2016 is the last model year for the current-gen Town & Country minivan, with the all-new Town & Country slated to debut early next year.
“Ninety years ago, Walter P. Chrysler laid the foundation for a philosophy that still works today – craftsmanship, beautiful design, innovation and technology, all at an affordable price,” said Chrysler CEO Al Gardner. “Those traits still resonate today in both the products – the Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan, 300 full-size sedan and Town & Country minivan – and with consumers."
Starting with the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country 90th Anniversary Package, the family hauler is based on the Touring-L trim level. In addition to this Town & Country trim level's standard features, the anniversary package adds heated first and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, Keyless Enter 'n Go, bright door handles, a power sunroof, and "Anniversary Edition" logos on the radio screen and floor mats.
For the 2016 Chrysler 300 90th Anniversary Package, we're dealing with a 300 Limited animated by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 292 horsepower animating all four wheels. Extra kit includes a dual-pane sunroof, HomeLink, 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment with satellite navigation capability, and commemorative 90th Anniversary Edition bits.
As for the 2016 Chrysler 200 90th Anniversary Package, the sedan adds more value. Highlights include an 8.4-inch touchscreen, power sunroof, leather on the steering wheel, body-color power heated mirrors, power seats, sun visors with illuminating vanity mirrors, and 90th Anniversary detailing everywhere.
