Several Chrysler Group dealers voiced their concern, during the National Automobile Dealers Association convention, about the fact that the factories can’t keep up with the demand for Jeep Wranglers in the US.
Jeep sold no less than 141,669 Wranglers in the United States last year, which means a 16 percent gain over 2011, and dealers are complaining that they’re not getting enough cars for their clients, while at the same time being stuck with slow-selling Dodge Durangos.
“The biggest concern is the Wrangler. The factory can’t keep up,” said Bob Ralph, general manager of Ingram Park Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in San Antonio, adding that this is a good problem to have by an automaker.
The Jeep Wrangler is being sold by Chrysler Group LLC since 1987.
Otherwise, Fiat dealers were told that they will get more details about new Fiat and Alfa Romeo models to arrive in their showrooms at a meeting to be held this spring.
