We don't feel mentally prepared for Christmas cheer, stupid sweaters and shopping, but snow makes up for it. The Lamborghini Urus also seems to be enjoying its first major contact with the frozen powder, and we're not surprised that the 4x4 likes to frolick.
You know, there was once a time when luxury SUVs weren't that good at doing snow donuts. But with a low body and a V8 engine sending copious amounts of power and torque o the rear wheels, doing shenanigans is a cakewalk.
Gumball Team Salamone has this crazy custom Urus it calls the Chrome King. Is scandalously wrapped in chrome with stripes that glow in the dark and pulsating purple LEDs. It's about as in-your-face as SUVs can get.
Of course, we have seen Lamborghinis playing in the snow before, and there have been some specifically built for this job by retired snowboarders we won't name. But the Urus is different. Sure, it has the AWD, but also a ton more torque than the V10s and ground clearance that can cope with rough stuff.
Lamborghini thought of everything, including snow and sand driving modes which are engaged by flicking the most awesome toggle in the world, the ANIMA. What's more, it can do a lot of SUV stuff and depend on where you live, you might want to add the winter package.
This gives you different wheels and tires, plus heating for everything that might need it. Also, let's not forget that the Urus can tow stuff, and it sounds a hell of a lot better than a Model X. Sure, the Tesla is way faster, but cold is the worst enemy to battery-powered performance, whereas a big V8 will probably be ready to play in minutes. Something tells us this will be the first of many snow adventures.
