It seems that Hollywood also gets the idea of a compact piece of Japanese luxury, or at least down-to-earth Hollywood does.
Chris Evans, aka the guy with a sixpack that played Captain America, has been spotted by Just Jared driving around in the Lexus ES. This is a brand new car from Lexus, the smaller than the GS but still packed with features.
This is the Japanese alternative if you don’t want a Cadillac CTS, the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class. It’s quite reasonably priced at $36,100 for the ES 350 that you see here. It’s a decent car in white, though a bit bland. Surely, Chris Evans can do a bit better than this FWD sedan.
Even the girl he’s giving a ride to, the lovely Minka Kelly, owns a much more desirable Audi Q5 SUV.
On the other hand, there’s clearly a new wave currently ongoing in Hollywood. Let us name it the green move, and it represents precisely what you think it does. Famous actors, producers, directors, screenwriters, you name it, they all have gathered around to make a statement: let’s protect our beautiful environment. And we don’t blame them for that, at all.
However, Evans doesn’t seem to be into the green ones necessarily, considering the Lexus he’s been spotted driving doesn’t look like the gasoline-electric hybrid version. We’re talking about the model introduced this year, that should be Lexus’ call on echo-conscious cars.
As far as Chris Evans is concerned, we don’t recall the actor driving Tesla Motors’ Roadster by any chance, nor did we hear of a Fisker Karma in his garage. So we’re standing here, wondering whether or not he actually is the Captain American, who was supposed to save the planet or not.
The actor is keeping a low profile in his lifestyle and we can't but appreciate that.
