Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV (MAD TV) decided to reveal a new short comprising several outtakes that didn't make it into the amazing KTM 1190R Adventure action video we showed you earlier.
MAD was inspired to put together the deleted scenes by Birch himself. He told the story of how he started to be interested in off-road riding, with him taking long hours to watch trial riding and analyzing the riders' positions and movements and how they correlated to successful or failed runs.
The outtakes even show Birch making several mistakes. He's human, after all, and if you were maybe expecting that he pulled off the entire ride in one single take, you'd be disappointed. Still, watching him ride along narrow rocky paths with the mountain side so close to his elbow and a hundred feet drop on the other side is rather far from anything that has to do with "failure".
As some of those who watched this new video even added: "If I rode in such a manner, this would be a hell of a day for me, even with the halts and all, no way this can be dubbed as fail!"
Have fun watching Birch not being perfect, and we hope this video will help you become better riders, too!
Trials in slow motion as an educational factor
In fact, trials riding was the first discipline for Chris Birch, and it looks like his current off-roading riding style retains a lot from his "first love", especially when tackling steep hills. MAD TV says that adding slow motion scenes will help riders looking for ways to improve their skills analyze Chris' moves and become inspired. The outtakes even show Birch making several mistakes.
