We have been waiting for the Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe for far too long, and while this isn’t an exact match in terms of styling, the Sportster by German tuner G-Tech is an amazing machine. The first thing you notice, of course, is the chopped roof and the really low stance - great looking result, we must admit.
If you take a closer look, then you’ll spot the modified front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper with integrated diffuser. The dual exhausts have been moved from the corner of the rear bumper, and have been placed right in the middle - we must admit to liking this design touch, as well. On the inside, the 500 Sportster gets a few sporty additions, like the special Recaro sports seats, Momo steering wheel and racy stainless-steel pedals.
However, if you were thinking that all the mods G-Tech does are cosmetic, you’d be wrong, as the German tuner is able to push the little 1.4-liter turbocharged engine to extreme levels, with power outputs ranging from 221 hp all the way to 335 hp. If the brakes and suspension are up to the job, 335 hp in a front-wheel drive car with this short a wheelbase should equal very interesting handling characteristics.
