In the age of online shopping, seeing a delivery van pull in front of your house is not something new. Usually though, the only excitement you feel when you see that Amazon-branded car pull up is caused exclusively by what hides inside the package at the back.
But what if instead of a dull Amazon truck your eyes would feast on something like this?
People have had things delivered, either to their business or their home, for ages. Back in the day when automobiles were just gaining traction, deliveries were made with the tools available at the time, and those tools were mostly Ford-branded machines capable of carrying various loads.
The Model A of the 1930s, fitted with panels at the rear, was one of the cars of choice for companies in need to transport goods. There were others, of course, but the Model A has endured nearly a century now thanks to hot rod builders.
In the world where these people live, even vans can be made to look outstanding. Just like the Model A depicted in the gallery above. Currently awaiting a buyer in North Georgia, this build is described as a 1930 Ford Sedan delivery, and we wouldn’t mind seeing it carrying a package with our names on it.
The original body of the car has been chopped by 3.5 inches to make it more aggressive, and then all that metal was mounted on a 1932 style custom boxed frame. Under the hood the builder fitted a 350ci V8 Chevrolet crate engine (5.7-liters), and linked it to a 4-speed transmission with overdrive. Underneath, a new front end and rear suspension with adjustable coil overs can be found.
The interior is completely custom-made to perfectly suit the exterior. The yellow theme of the outside – officially the color is called Papaya orange – is continued on the dashboard and doors, there are custom gauges, a stereo system and, of course, air conditioning.
The sale price for this hot rod has been set at $49,900. Full details on it can be found at this link.
