The prices of luxury cars in China are incredibly high these days, despite the government’s efforts to even things out. However, until their work pays off, companies like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi will keep their prices intact, leading to fury amongst customers.
That’s the only explanation we could find for the following story that simply left us stunned. Little did 20 employees of a Chinese BMW dealership that their day would mostly be spent counting small bills just yesterday.

It all took a turn for the worse when a determined Chinese businesswoman decided to walk into their building wanting to buy a BMW 730Li. So far so good, right? Well, not quite. She probably wanted to teach them a lesson and paid part of the car’s price tag with small bills.

How many you ask? Well, about 100 kilos to be precise or 220 lbs. Since the bills were extremely small, that huge amount of paper added up to just around €10,000 in the end, split between 100,000 notes. Luckily for the twenty employees that counted all that cash for six hours, the rest was paid using a credit card.

Apparently, it wasn’t just the huge price tags of new BMWs that annoyed her which led to this ... unspeakable action. The woman, named as only Ms Li, said she was “often busy she had decided to keep the banknotes until she was able to spend them all at once when buying a car”. Good for you, that’s all we can say...
