Chinese Builds Dragon-Look-alike Wooden Car, Says It’s His Vision of a Sportscar

There is some sort of new wave going on in China, with farmers from all around the Communist country building these wooden-cars. Some go for hypercar replicates, while other craftsmen simply like to put their own vision in practice, building what they believe a sportscar should look like. It’s the case of this man who has spent the last six months trying to finish his creation.

Chinese Builds Dragon-Lookalike Wooden Car
Like we said, seeing home-made wooden cars in China is not such of a big surprise nowadays, yet every now and then there’s one car that stands out immediately.

It’s the case with this ride created by Yu Jietao, a farmer from Jiangxi province who instead of saving money for his entire life decided he'd rather build his own dream ride.

The dragon-ish shaped wooden car is made of Chinese rosewood, is 4 meters long, 1,5 meters wide and 1,5 meters tall and it took six months to get it  done. Apart from the engine, tires and interior fittings, most of the vehicle is composed of polished, hand-carved rosewood and agarwood.

As you probably guessed already the car also was quite cheap. According to Apple Daily, it took 10,000 Chinese Yuan ($1,600) to put it together, and, while it was intended to be a sportscar, it is not able to go faster than 30 km/h (19 mph).

The scissor doors might be working like the ones you'd see on a Lambo, they rather look like duck wings overall. Then there’s that spoiler in the back, something that could easily qualify for the top 10 ugliest in the tuning world.

For some of you, the car might look strange, but ever since we saw that robotic horse Su Daocheng, a 60-year old farmer from Hubei Province built, it feels like there’s nothing that can look worse.
