China's Lifan 320 Copies MINI Cooper

The fact that Chinese automakers are copying European brands is no longer news. The first time everyone became aware of this fact was when BMW decided to file a lawsuit against Shuanghuan's S-CEO, a car that resembled the X5 a bit too much to go unnoticed.

Nowadays everyone regards such an event as normal. Take, for example, the Chinese brand Lifan. They created a car called 320 that copies not only the MINI Cooper but also the Fiat 500L.

Initially, the first leaked images showed a car almost identical to the British Cooper. However, the company decided it was a bit too much and the end result has some Fiat 500L in it.

The resemblance is not limited to the exterior feature neither. Going inside, you'll also notice the dashboard to look extremely familiar, especially if you own a MINI. It's true, the Speedometer is located behind the steering wheel but the dash has almost the same design as the classic Cooper.

The Chinese officials claim that the dash should look like the cartoon character, Wall-E. Actually, that dash resembles anything but the little, cute robot.

We shouldn't be surprised, though. As the Top Gear crew found out in a season, last year, in China everything is possible and trademark features just don't seem to matter. Just take a look at what they found during their travels inside the 'land of the fakes'.
