The Chevy Volt has received the highest score in the latest Consumer Reports Owner Satisfaction Survey, proving that it’s much more than a list of promises that looks and sounds good on the showroom floor.

To be more precise, 93 percent of Volt owners said that they would buy the plug-in again if the had to make a new car acquiring decision.

However, this is just a part of the story, as the Volt owners had only been living with their cars for a few months when they answered the survey. In addition to that, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration had not opened an investigation for post-crash spontaneous combustion into a number of plug-in vehicles, including the Volt, at the time.

According to Consumer Reports, its respondents mix very powerful and eco-conscious cars in their top preferences, so we shouldn’t be surprised that second and third places were taken by the Dodge Challenger (V8) and Porsche 911, respectively, both receiving 91 percent.

At the other end of the scale, we find the Chevrolet Colorado (47 percent), Toyota Matrix (43 percent) and the Chevrolet Aveo (37 percent).
