Chevy Volt Outsold Nissan Leaf in November

The battle of the EV continues a second victory for the Chevrolet Volt that has been in the media’s crossfire for its battery. During the moth of November, The Volt’s delivery figures climbed to 1,139, which is huge when you consider they only sold 125 in July.

Despite the increase, GM has only managed to shift 6,142 Volts for the year to date, which is way below what they originally estimated. The sales target of 10,000 to 12,000 will clearly be missed, and December is sure to be marked by the battery fire woes of customers.

The Nissan Leaf was way off the pace set during the summer, with only 672 having been delivered during the month of November, which is also 19% less than the same month a year ago. With year to date levels now siting at 8,738, December sales stand a chance of reaching the annual sales target of 10,000 units.
