Chevy Silverado Looks Just Like a Mafia Trail Boss on Satin Black Forged Wheels

In case our memory is not mistaken, when General Motors debuted its all-new, fourth generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500, it was the Trail Boss version that was brought in front of the audience gathered for the Chevy Truck Centennial Celebration Weekend in Texas. Yeah, it’s the most “badass” option to be had when you’re looking to stand out in a truck crowd.

Vossen Wheels, the expert shop from Miami, Florida, seems to agree on the matter. Otherwise, would they have selected the Silverado Trail Boss as the perfect truck to exhibit the HF6-4 six-lug hybrid forged alloy wheel design?!

Of course, one could also argue they did it because that mean-looking black-ed out treatment of the front end is a match made in color heaven for wheels. Also, the Silverado Trail Boss (prepared for Driver Shop, a window tinting specialist from Miami that works on anything from cars to boats) comes in a nicely contrasting sand-like exterior hue.

The latter looks like an equally aftermarket option, as for the 2021 Silverado Trail Boss there are no corresponding hues in the official color palette – and the closest official one we could find is the Oakwood Metallic that was offered on the 2019 model year. Still, we like to think it’s a personal choice from the owners, just like black hood detailing.

It’s nice to see that Vossen, better known for its street tuner’s style, is also taking care of the off-road end of the market. As such, the HF6-4 was clearly built using its TUV-verified facility to withstand the added loads from the heavy truck, and perhaps even some rock-crawling.

The manufacturer’s hybrid forged series kicks off at $599 and can be had in no less than five standard colors (Satin Black, Gloss Black, Tinted Gloss Black, Terra Bronze, Matte Gunmetal) and a total of seven custom hues – Gloss Gold, Textured Bronze, Matte Black, Gloss Silver, Anthracite, Satin Silver, and Satin Bronze.

Although the company doesn’t specify the exact size used on the Chevy Silverado Trail Boss, we know that its HF6-4 model can be had with a 20-, 22-, or 24-inch diameter. And we bet the next upgrade will be a neat set of running boards...
