The all-new Corvette isn`t the only important new vehicle to be revealed in the coming months, as GM has just announced that they will also be revealing the new 2014 Silverado on December 13, 2012, during a special event held for the occasion, somewhere in the Detroit area.
The new Silverado is, in fact, all-new, and while most manufacturers are downsizing to save fuel, Chevrolet has reportedly made the new version of the pick-up even bigger than before. It should be lighter, though, otherwise it will definitely get bashed for a visible lack of progress over its predecessor - even Ford is shedding weight off their F-150 pick-up, set to make its debut next year.
Furthermore, some rumors suggest that the new Silverado may also gain a new small-block V8 engine, with direct injection, or possibly a 3.6-liter V6 with as much as 320 hp. With products like this, it’s now wonder GM can’t get away from the bad image created over the years...
