Chevrolet will run a national Truck Month promotion offering supplier pricing on all 2014 Silverado pickup truck models. According to Automotive News, quoting a summary of the plan sent to dealers this week, Chevy will offer the same price on both light-duty and heavy-duty Silverados that GM gives to employees of its suppliers.
The truck promotion will be combined with a Chevy Open House Event, which will offer supplier pricing on all 2014 vehicles except the flagship Corvette Stingray and the SS high-performance, rear-wheel drive sedan, the report adds.

GM has yet to comment on its upcoming promotional plans, but the manufacturer is said to describe the sale as an “unprecedented promotional assault” and run advertising that includes the following line: “The price you see is the price you pay! Or less!”

According to the summary sent to dealers, Chevy will slash nearly 20 percent off some Silverado models. The 2WD, double cab Silverado 1500 All Star Edition, for instance, will cost $30,828 with the March discounts. The truck currently carries a sticker of $37,520.

“It’s no secret that Silverado sales are vitally important to our mutual success. Dealers everywhere want and need Truck Month to win against Ford and Ram,” the summary reads. Participation in either the Truck Month or the Open House is optional for GM dealers.
