Chevrolet may be leaving the European market, but that doesn't mean the American company is going back to only making big barges. Far from it, in fact, as they have just launched a fresh city car model.
The all-new Spark is still 99% Korean, but it looks more muscular and aggressive. That makes it the perfect candidate for the hot treatment that can only come from a Photoshop expert, like X-Tomi Design.
By adding all sorts of extra air intakes and racing parts, he managed to create the Spark Z06. The most noticeable features are the lowered suspension and the hood vent, which was taken from everybody's favorite 650 hp all-American middle finger to Ferraris and Lambos. Not surprisingly, it looks exactly the same as one of the robots from Transformers franchise, the semi-retarded Skids, unless we're mistaken.
Using the Z06 name for a 3.5-meter front-wheel drive car seems like sacrilege. But making the Spark go fast is technically plausible. European sister brand Opel just introduced a 150 horsepower version of its Adam 3-door baby model, and it looks pretty cool.
But so far, nobody has built extreme small cars quite like Fiat. The 500 Abarth is available in many different flavors, most of them offering 160 horsepower from a 1.4-liter turbo. But, hardcore models built for customers with deep pockets, such as the 695 Tributo Ferrari, allow for 180 hp to escape from the front wheels.
Since the 2016 Spark is designed to be cheap, the chances of a hot version being offered are extremely low. But who knows, maybe there are enough Chevy fans who want to pay about $20,000 for a pocket-sized Corvette.
