Ever wondered how potent the Silverado with the 5.3-liter V8 is? Not the figures published by Chevrolet, but those at the wheels, coming courtesy of the dyno at Hennessey Performance Engineering.

The Texas-based tuner prepares to roll out the Goliath 6x6, which is based on the Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss with four-wheel drive. The off-road leviathan posted 307 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, down from 355 horsepower and 383 at the crankshaft. All in all, not bad considering the average drivetrain loss for this type of vehicle.

Care to guess how much the LT Trail Boss costs from the get-go? Not including the $1,495 destination charge, you’re looking at $48,300 before even looking at the options list. The Goliath 6x6, on the other hand, levels up to $375,000 because modifying the Silverado to a six-wheeled truck is quite difficult.

In creating the Goliath 6x6, Hennessey also swaps the engine with the 6.2-liter V8, tuned to 705 horsepower thanks to a 2.9-liter supercharger system running 7 PSI of boost. The exhaust system is also new, now made of stainless steel. The 675 pound-feet of torque at 4,200 rpm, on the other hand, help the truck accelerate to 60 mph “in the mid-four-second range even with the additional weight of the 6x6 conversion.”

“These are very exclusive and unique vehicles that make a huge statement anywhere our clients go,” said John Hennessey, “whether its Rodeo drive or the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.” Customers who want even more exclusivity and uniqueness can opt for the stroker motor upgrade, pushing the output to 808 horsepower.

Options further include Brembo brakes, custom interior detailing, body decals, you name it. The list of modifications is rounded off by an eight-inch lift kit, 20-inch wheels, 37-inch off-road tires, custom bed, and rollbar upgrade, giving the Goliath 6x6 a character of its own.

Only 24 examples will ever be made, and if you were wondering, each and every single one is covered by three years or 36,000 miles of warranty.
