Chevrolet Showroom on your iPhone

Chevrolet’s dealer network has been expanded to the virtual space, as the company has launched the Chevrolet Showroom application for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, offering users the possibility to research and locate their desired vehicle.

The app, which can be downloaded for free from the App Store, includes the complete range of Chevrolet cars, trucks and crossovers. Users can choose exterior and interior colors and search for an “in the metal” vehicle in a close dealer’s lot.

The Chevrolet Showroom app allows customers to shop nearly anywhere and share their virtual vehicle with their friends,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “This is a natural addition to the ways people shop online for vehicles today.

Once a certain car has been located, it can be saved on a device and be shared with others using e-mail or Facebook. The application also comes with a click-to-call feature that offers customers the possibility to call their Chevrolet dealer of choice in order to receive more information. Users can also use the app to request a quote from the dealership.

The app offers a high level of accuracy when it comes to the financial side of the story. It incorporates a dealer locator, current offers and “incentives down to the trim level of the chosen vehicle”, as well as a payment calculator.

However, the current version of the app is not all about sales, as it also covers the company’s history. Users can browse a gallery that is packed with historical photos and highlights of the 75 years of Suburban and some other models that are key vehicles in the company’s heritage.

Chevrolet also offers similar features for users of other smartphone through its mobile website.
