The Chevy Malibu is a ‘decent’ car for ‘decent’ people and the latest version builds on its ‘decent’ positive attributes, one of them being the relatively low price. However, for 2013, Chevrolet are raising its base price by $280, thus having a final price of $23,150, including the $760 destination charge.
The Malibu is up against some very serious competition, throughout the 100 or so countries in which it is currently sold. If sales figures are anything to go by, they would suggest that the Malibu is selling well, with 110,035 cars sold until May - an increase of 11.1% over last year.

Despite the modest price hike, the Malibu will still remain one of the most widely-appreciated GM cars currently on sale, and it’s been quietly doing its job well, as it’s now in its eight incarnation (generation), and it will continue to do so well into the future.
