Chevrolet Orlando Compact MPV Launched in Great Britain

Chevrolet is further expanding its model range with the launch of the all-new Orlando seven-seat MPV. The car promises to offer good value for money, stylish design and low insurance and running costs. Available with a 1.8-liter petrol engine or two new powerful diesel derivatives and in three trim levels, the Orlando is priced from just £16,395 ($25,899).

“The Orlando is a high quality vehicle that provides Chevrolet access to fleet channels that we have never competed in before. The Orlando blends practicality, style and comfort into a value-for-money package with highly-competitive running costs. Backed up by a three-year warranty, high mileage fleet, service & maintenance package options and the support of a nation-wide dealer network, the Orlando is an outstanding and versatile proposition,” stated Keith Jones, Chevrolet National Fleet Sales Manager, in the press release that announced the car.

All models have Electronic Stability Control (ESC), air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, six airbags and three 12V power sockets. Highlights of the mid-priced LT trim level include rear parking sensors, climate control and an upgraded stereo while the range topping LTZ includes 17-inch alloys, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers and power-folding door mirrors.

The Orlando is specifically aimed at companies that want competitive running costs at the pump and for tax returns. To this end, diesel powered models offer a combined mpg figure of 47.1 (6.04 l/100km), with CO2 emissions of 159 g/km, meaning an annual road tax bill at current rates of £150.00 ($95). If some added luxury is needed, you can spec it with an automatic gearbox and the Executive Pack which adds a full leather interior with heated front seats, sat-nav and 18-inch alloys, all at a total price of £23,195 ($36,651).

“This car represents the start of a journey that will reposition Chevrolet as a totally committed provider to the fleet sector. Our future growth will be based on great products, a balanced mix of business and best in class service levels,” Jones also stated.
