It’s believed Malcolm Butler’s end zone interception during this year’s Super Bowl match, that had New England Patriots defeating Seattle Seahawks, was what preserved the victory. This is why Chevrolet decided it would be nice to gift the footballer with the company’s most capable advanced midsize truck.
In case you haven’t heard, the broadcast of Super Bowl XLIX on NBC literally broke ... well, American television’s history. It might not be the same as what Kim Kardashian tried with her nude magazine shooting that was supposed to be braking the internet, yet the game broke the record for the most-watched program in history.

An average of 114.4 million viewers, with it reaching to 118.5 million during the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show featuring Katy Perry, and then peaking to 120.8 million during New England’s fourth-quarter comeback. Just try to imagine what that means in advertising money...

And Chevrolet has strong connections with this game since their all-new Colorado truck was advertised right after kickoff. Whether it was planned or not, the car maker also decided to gift one of their new trucks to a member of the victorious team. Even though they initially intended to award Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) Tom Brady, the Patriotis’ quarterback, the footballer advised Chevrolet to rather give it to his fellow, cornerback Malcolm Butler.

“I’ve seen several game-changing moments in big games and Malcolm’s interception last Sunday ranks up there as on of the biggest. I appreciate Chevrolet wanting to honor the Super Bowl’s top performer and I’m glad they have agreed to award the Colorado to Malcolm,”
Brady said.

Well, judging by the pictures, we’d say Butler is quite happy with his new “most capable, most versatile and most technologically advanced midsize truck in the market”.
