The video features several key people involved in the creation of the 2014 Stingray explaining how the new sportscar includes lots of new technology systems to be different and better that the six-generation machine.

"It's really race inspired. That's what manufactures say when they really want to make a connection between a race car and a street car. Our's has the exact technology brought from the track to the street," said Chevrolet executive chief engineer Tadge Juechter.

The most important change the C7 Stingray brings to the Corvette lineup is in the electronic compartment. Basically, the car is packed with electronics, no less than five driving modes being controlled by a computer, but Chevy says the vehicle is responding accordingly.

"You can feel that the car does exactly what you want it to do. You can have the car you want when you want it," added performance integration engineer Alex McDonald.

Deliveries for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will start in 3rd quarter 2013, and a convertible version of the sportscar will be debuted at next month's Geneva Auto Show.
