The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe is the most secure Tahoe ever built, says GM in their most recent video about the brand new SUV. And that’s because the vehicle has been fitted with several standard anti-theft features and a Theft Protection Package that can be had with the LT and LTZ models.
Among those standard security features Chevy included a steering column lock that deters push-away and tow-away theft, side cut keys that deter lock picking and more solid door lock cylinders and shields that prevent access with slim jims and other similar tools.

In addition, the 2015 Tahoe has a hidden storage compartment behind the infotainment screen and bolted down third-row seats, which are removable on the current SUV.

As for the Theft Protection Package, it features glass breakage sensors, interior motion sensors and an inclination/tilt sensor that sound an alarm if the vehicle is attempted to be broken into or lifted off the ground. More details on these new features are available in the video and the official press release below.
