The 2.0l VDCi unit in question develops, as we said, 125 PS and can accelerate from naught to sixty in 10.3 seconds and tops at 122 mph (196 km/h). From the fuel efficiency stand point, the Cruze that fitted with this unit achieves a combined consumption figure of 51.4 mpg (5.5l/100 km) – urban 40.4 mpg (7l/100 km), highway 61.4 mpg (4.6l/100 km). CO2 emission levels stand at 145 g/km, amounting to £125 in annual road tax bill.
Offered in combination with the entry level S trim, the Cruze comes equipped, as standard, with air conditioning, electronic stability control, a CD-radio with auxiliary input socket, front electric windows, remote central locking, body-colored bumpers, Thatcham approved alarm and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors.
The new engine will also be available in the LS trim, for £14,345, and will offer, aside for the options featured on the S, electric rear windows, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille surround, rear park assist, steering wheel audio controls and a leather-covered steering wheel and gear knob.

The standard equipment levels are outstanding and with the 125PS diesel engine now available, the line up makes financial and environmental sense both to fleet managers and drivers alike,” Mark Terry, Chevrolet managing director said in a release.
