Chevrolet Corvette C5 Official Tribute Clio

Chevrolet wants us to work up an appetite before they let us bite into the brand new C7 Corvette, which is coming next year as a 2014 model. The Corvette brand is 60 years old now, and today a tribute video for another old model was released.
Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles talks about the C5 talks about the technology and the famous factory backed racing team. This model reinvented the American sportscar, with more practicality and performance.

Italy has Ferrari, Britain has the Aston Martin and America has the Corvette to boast with, purpose-built to be a sportscar.

The C5 was originally offered with a 345 hp, 350 lb-ft small-block V8, which was increased to 350 hp in 2001. The same year, they launched the Z06, with an LS6 engine with 385 hp. This was later upgraded to 405 hp for the 2002 to 2004 models.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
