The future of the Chevrolet Camaro looks a bit foggy right now (more on this below) so those of us who love this pony/muscle nameplate feel the pressure these days. And what does the Internet do in such cases? Well, for one, it replies with renderings. Case in point with the pixel exercise we have here, which attempts to portray the current sixth-gen Camaro in (ready for it?) wagon form.
Of course, the idea behind such a visual shenanigan is to fight the said anxiety with a smile. Now, anybody who knows a thing or two about performance wagons will tell you this is actually an Audi RS6 Avant with the face of the Camaro ZL1 1LE (you know, the Nurburgring tamer) and custom wheels. And we must thank Camm Fisher for this giggle-inducing doodle.
Now, one can't help but wonder if the RS4 Avant would've been a better match, simply because, just like the Camaro, this measures 4.78 meters (a little over 188 inches) in length. Then again, the bigger Ingolstadt model is the only one offered in the US. Besides, the RS4 is animated by a turbocharged V6, while its big brother packs a turbocharged V8, so, in the end, this is probably the better choice.
Fortunately, these were followed by stories talking about the current model expected to soldier on until 2023, with this set to receive the replacement it deserves.
Sure, the aging Dodge Challenger has surpassed the Camaro in last year's sales chart, but this doesn't have to bring capitulation on Chevy's side.
After all, General Motors has shown it still knows how to deliver an amazing performance package with the launch of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette, a midship toy that will continue to start at under $60,000 for the 2021 model year. So, here's to hoping the golden bowtie people are currently working on improving the Camaro formula.

So, what's up with the (expected) seventh-gen Chevrolet Camaro?
Last summer, we got a series of reports talking about the demise of the badge. As you can imagine, these caused quite a stir, especially since we're talking about a model with such rich heritage.Fortunately, these were followed by stories talking about the current model expected to soldier on until 2023, with this set to receive the replacement it deserves.
