We're all wondering what the future of the Chevrolet Camaro looks like these days (more on this below). And with the reactions to the current lack of information being as varied as you'd imagine, we've just come across one that deserves our attention. This comes from a former Camaro owner who has come up with a quirky rendering.
This pixel doodle we have here showcases a Camaro pickup truck, and the formula behind it is pretty simple. The quick exercise mixes the front end of the fifth-gen Camaro ZL1 on an OBS (Old Body Style) Chevy C/K truck. As such, we've selected the nickname you can see in the title.

As for what motivates the virtual contraption, we're looking at a V8 that relies on a supercharger with Bill Shotgun scoops to deliver the mandatory muscle.

Of course, the custom bits, such as the front splitter (this setup was actually featured on the enthusiast's fifth-gen Camaro), the American Racing Wheels, and the side exhaust add to the drama.

Camm Fisher, the enthusiast in question, currently hoons a Chevy C10, so we can see where the inspiration for this quick exercise came from.

Returning to the future of the Camaro, one of the most important reasons to fret comes from the sales, which have been experiencing massive drops from 2017. Last year, Ford moved two Mustangs for every Camaro sold by Chevrolet, while the aging Dodge Challenger, which took second place, wasn't that far from the leader.

So far, the only serious clue we have revolves around electrification, with a silhouette of what's expected to be a Camaro EV having been teased earlier this month. Keep in mind that we've also seen a shape that seems to preview a battery-powered Corvette SUV.

And with GM having announced a $27 billion electrification plan that will see the company introducing 30 EVs by 2025, the path seems clear. So we can only hope that the V8 muscle will live on alongside the battery power for the next iteration of the Camaro.
