Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Gets Virtual Tuning

General Motors decided to please automotive enthusiasts today, releasing a set of images of the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible on the vehicle’s Facebook page. This is one of the most anticipated American vehicle of the current year, so we really have a reason to celebrate.

However, when it comes to cool cars, we’re more than greedy, so we started lusting for a Camaro Convertible with a something special. Yes, we are talking about a custom incarnation of the vehicle - we wanted something new, not the Hennessey Camaro Convertible.

We contacted one aftermarket developer after another but it seems that nodoby has managed to become close enough with GM execs to get their hand on a pre-production model. Here’s how we imagined the story: do whatever you need to do in order to get a Camaro Prototype for a one-day test drive.

Climb aboard the vehicle, floor the throttle and start a rush. Put the car through its paces on the way to... your tuning shop. Carefully strip the vehicle of as many parts as you can and replace these with custom one that - of course, with maximum precaution as not to damage the vehicle. Take the vehicle out for a photoshoot and then re-install the factory stock parts and take the car back to its mommy.

Of course, this plan is way to crazy to be translated into reality, so we had to settle for a virtual project. We decided to search for one that hadn’t messed with the vehicle’s lines. We came across the modified creation you see in the adjacent image. This only brings a lowered suspension, a new set of rims and additional side air intakes, as well as new exhaust tips. We hope you enjoy this play as much as we do.
