Chevrolet Bringing 5 International Models to Detroit

Chevrolet might be an all-American brand, but it’s spread across the world, from Berlin to Beijing. There’s a number of cars sold out there that aren’t available anywhere else in the world that might be interesting to US consumers as well.

This is why no less than five global models will be on show at Chevrolet’s NAIAS stand. These include the new Trax crossover which is essentially the same thing as the Buick Encore, the Orlando 7-seater van sold in Canada, the Sail sedan from China, the Onix hatch from Brazil and also the Spin compact minivan.

Out of these, the Trax is the only one we think is worth selling in America, since all smaller models weren’t designed for strict safety legislation.

autoevolution will be attending the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
