Chevrolet has just announced that the all-new, 2014 Impala full-size sedan will go on sale next spring for the base price of $27,535 for the 4-cylinder model.
The base trim level is the Impala LS, followed by the LT costing $29,785 with a 2.5-liter engine or $34,555 for the top grade LTZ, again, with the four-banger. Prices for the 3.6-liter model begin with the $30,760 LT and $36,580 for the LTZ. The mild hybrid model has not been announced yet.
The car comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-banger delivering 195 hp and 187 lb-ft (253 Nm) of torque. YOu can also have the 182hp 2.4-liter with eAssist from Buick or the big 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 hp that you’d get in the Cadillac ATS. All engines come paired up with the same six-speed standard automatic transmission.
“We’ll build on the success the Impala nameplate has generated over its history,” said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. “We’ve added sophisticated design features, more technology and safety equipment, while conserving Impala’s current strengths like spaciousness and comfort.”
