The 60 Series Starlet was introduced in 1978, being the first to be extensively sold outside Japan and it was offered with three small engine sending power to the rear wheels - a 1-liter, 1.1- and a 1.3-liter.

The one we will look at here is actually mong the last 60 Series made in 1984, after which it got replaced by the Toyota Corolla FX in the US, if that rings a bell to you.

However, if in stock form it wont attract not a single glance, a custom one is a sure ticket for street cred. And this one here must have a lot. Starting with the engine bay, its owner ditched the 4K stock engine and fitted a bigger 1.6-liter 4AGZE one that features some goodies like Arias pistons, TODA piston rings, Carrillo connecting rods, custom air intake and a HKS turbocharger.

Then, the three-door hatch got stanced, received a nice set of shiny rims, some JDM hood-mounted rearview mirrors, rollcage and racing bucket seats.

Check it in the pictures bellow and don’t forget to read the full article on Import Tuner here.
