Check Out an AMG Burnouts and Drag Racing Compendium

The “one man, one engine” philosophy is not the only detail by which Mercedes-AMG is completely different from each of its competitors, but it sure is a large part of its appeal.

Another AMG exclusive feature is obviously the fact that pretty much every engine ever developed by the nutters in Affalterbach is simply oozing with torque, with each AMG model providing neck-snapping straight-line acceleration at just about any speed.

Last, but certainly not least, when it comes to exhaust sounds that hark back to World War II fighter planes and which can mostly be felt instead of just heard, AMG cars are pretty much winners.

Their capacity to obliterate rear tires and engulf bystanders in clouds of smoke whenever the go-fast pedal is even looked at funny might seem like an exaggeration, but taking a long look at the following video will surely reinforce that opinion.

Made by car-spotter Patrick331 at the Yas Marina Circuit, in Abu Dhabi, the video depicts a drag racing event where all cars participating are part of the soon-to-be-well-known Group63 AMG car club.

We have actually covered this Arabian car club before, with an underground parking lot that was about to collapse from all the V8 exhaust sounds filling the air and even an interview with the club's president last year.

Even though there aren't any time sheets for the tens of drag races that took place, the footage is fun to watch mostly thanks to the sounds and the copious amount of burnouts before every go.

Pretty much every AMG engine built in recent years, with the exception of the big twin-turbocharged V12, has its place in the following video, a fact which pretty much makes this a huge compilation of AMGs burning rubber. Enjoy!
