Have you ever tried to drive your conventionally-powered car (no hybrids, EVs or any sort of alt-fuel) economically, but you just weren’t able to? It is very hard to refrain yourself from pressing the gas just that little bit harder either to pass somebody, or impress those girls at traffic lights - the list of excuses reasons is limited by one’s imagination.
Take the ‘fuel saving’ and ‘safety’ measure shown in the attached picture. The solution is just so elegant in its simplicity, as anybody can get hold of paper, some tape and scissors. Actually, you don’t really need scissors to pull this off - the opposable thumb will give you all the dexterity you’d need.
So as you’re driving along with bits of paper stuck to your dials with ‘NO!’ written on them, it will constantly remind you not to exceed 2000 rpm or 100 km/h (60 mph), and thus, reduce your fuel consumption and make all your drives much safer.
