With all the petroleum saving pandemonium and the ‘green’ trend, cheap gas stations are scarcer than grannies driving Koenigseggs. However, Audi came up with an app to find such facilities.
The German automaker recently launched a fuel finder service for its Audi A3 range, that provides information about prices and locations of the cheapest fuel stations around.
Known as the Refuelling Stop application, it works by consulting an online database that contains lots of gas stations. It then show the cheapest ones around you or around your planned destination. Also, the driver can sort them according to the price or distance and once a location is selected, it can be set as a destination on the car’s navigation system.
The service require the Audi MMI (Multi Media Interface) Navigation option and the additional Bluetooth connectivity in order to be used in the A3 models. Audi said that the application will expand to all its models starting from May this year.
