Actor, filmmaker, author and adventure rider Charley Boorman, of Long Way Round and Long Way Down fame will be touring the USA aboard the new BMW R1200GS. Ewan McGregogr's former adventure team mate will travel more than 10,000 miles (16,000 km) from Alaska to Hawaii and more.
Boorman's new trip is the third chapter of the Extreme Frontiers TV. The first two parts saw Charley travel into the Canadian wilderness and South Africa.
His US adventure will carry him rapelling into an active volcano in Hawaii and visiting the Pearl Harbor shipwrecks, relive the battle at The Alamo, meet the record-breakers in Bonneville, skydive in Death Valley and many more.
After touring the world aboard an air-cooled R1200GS, it's time for Boorman to start it all over again aboard the new liquid-cooled 2013 machine. To keep up to date with Charley’s travels, follow his Twitter feed: @charleyboorman.
