ChargePoint Joins BMW in Showcasing Electric Car Sharing Benefits

Celebrating 2013's Earth Day, the guys from ChargePoint announced a joint-venture with BMW's DriveNow program to showcase the advantages of electric vehicles sharing and charging at the workplace.

This way, ChargePoint EV charging stations will be showcased and BMW ActiveE cars will be offered for test drives around the Bay Area in campuses around Silicon Valley.

Furthermore, the company decided to offer free ChargePoint cards to electric vehicle drivers until April 25th 2013. This way the drivers can experience how easy it is to use and all-electric vehicle and charge it up.

“Workplace charging plays a critical role in the adoption of electric vehicles. Installing EV workplace charging is a sign of corporate leadership, provides employee benefits that can help attract and retain a cutting-edge workforce and enhances sustainability efforts,” said Pat Romano president and CEO of ChargePoint.

The company run by Romano is the largest online network on independently owned EV charging stations, available in 14 countries. It's made up of 11,000 charging spots that provide services for more than 1700 organizations.
