Most of the people that became famous almost overnight, usually buy expensive luxury sportscars, if not supercars just so people realize how rich they are and successful. But every now and then, we stumble upon actors that despite their wealth, they still live quite a normal, family life.
As we previously reported, the 21 Jump Street actor is driving a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck as a daily driver. Now, the big machine would normally be considered as a car you drive to the ranch or even take for off road adventures. It’s not really the car you get by with in Los Angeles, unless you actually don’t really care about problems such as the traffic and fuel economy. It is, however, a pretty spacious and comforting ride, you might opt for when you’re a father.

This brings us to our car in question, the one Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan was recently seen with. This particular vehicle is quite rare among LA’s residents, but since Volvo is renowned for its safety features, we’re guessing she bought it just for that.

Tatum met actress Jenna Dewan on the set of their movie Step Up, back in 2006. The couple became engaged in September 2008 and married on July the next year. They have a daughter who was born in London, last year. So we’re probably right to assume Jenna was putting her child’s safety first.

But let us take a closer look at what amenities the XC60 comes with. Apart from some of the traditional Volvo safety features such as whiplash protection system, side impact protection system, dynamic stability and traction control, inflatable curtain airbags and patented front, side and rear structures, the luxury crossover also introduced a new technology named City safety.

Through the use of a closing velocity sensor that helps determine whether a collision is likely to happen, the car's safest system helps preventing or mitigating vehicle-on-vehicle collisions below 30km/h (19mph). Depending on the speed, if a collision is likely, Volvo’s computer system will either prepare the car to brake or automatically brake the vehicle to avoid or mitigate a rear-end collision.
